Scheduled
On Sunday February 5th 2017, from 8pm PST - 11pm PST the deployment tools for BLOCKS will be undergoing scheduled maintenance to perform software upgrades. We anticipate the maintenance to take between 1 and 3 hours to perform.

About the upgrade

We are upgrading a component of the service that allows for the deployment of the blocks within our network. The upgrade will provide us additional capabilities to scale our service as we continue to see large adoption in our customer base.

Impact

During the maintenance window, the deployment of new blocks will be unavailable. This means that you will be unable to click the “Start” or “Stop” or “Restart” buttons in the BLOCKS code editor window within the PubNub Administration Console to start, stop or restart a block.

Our plan is that existing blocks that are running will not be impacted. However there is a small chance that they may not be triggered for some period of time during the maintenance window. If there is an impact, whereby your blocks are paused, no actions on your part will be required - any blocks that are impacted will be restarted automatically before the maintenance is complete.

In Closing

We’re excited that BLOCKS is growing, and we have a great roadmap of features we’re building. Performing this upgrade will help us deliver on our promises to you, and allow us to scale your application even farther, but we apologize for any interruptions that you may encounter.

If you have any questions about this maintenance, or anything else PubNub, please contact your customer success manager or reach us at support@pubnub.com. During the maintenance period you can view updates on our status page, and you can subscribe to receive updates also on that page.
